Why is my Driver's Location Not Updating?

To ensure your drivers' locations are updating correctly, follow the steps outlined in this article.

Drivers' locations should update every 90 seconds when en route and every 5 minutes when idle. If locations are still not updating, please contact support and provide the user's mobile device type and device version by going to Settings > About phone.

Troubleshooting Steps

  1. Ensure drivers have the latest version of the Dispatcher.com Mobile App downloaded on their devices.

    1. To update the app, search for “Dispatcher.com” in the Google Play Store on Android devices or the Apple App Store on iOS devices. If an “Update” option is available, click it. If not, delete and redownload the app to ensure you have the latest version.

  2. Ensure Location Tracking is enabled within the Dispatcher.com Mobile App.

    1. Within the mobile app, click More > enable Location Tracking.

  3. Ensure the User Icon is set to Yes within the driver’s profile.

    1. Within Dispatcher, go to Settings > Company Team > click on the driver’s name > click Edit Profile > select Yes under Show User Icon on Dispatch Map.

  4. Allow Location Access within the mobile device's settings.

    1. On the driver’s mobile device, go to Settings > find the Distpatcher.com Mobile App > tap Always.
